Rechelle Everden

CEO & President

Rechelle Everden is the CEO and President of FairyTales Films Entertainment and AMP Studios Canada Inc., where she leads with strategic vision and strong business acumen. As the driving force behind both companies, she oversees all aspects of business development, investor relations, and strategic partnerships. Her leadership extends to financial oversight and corporate collaborations with studios, sponsors, and other production companies.

With a professional background in entrepreneurial business management, business law, and Canadian and international trade law, Rechelle brings a rare blend of legal and corporate expertise to the entertainment landscape. She currently serves as Global Trade Lead at Mitzify Canada Inc., further strengthening her ability to navigate global markets and foster cross-cultural engagement.

Since founding AMP Studios in 2019, Rechelle has helped grow the company into a leading platform for performing arts training and media production. In 2023, she launched FairyTales Films to support the development of bold, diverse, and globally resonant stories. Her dedication to inclusive storytelling and business excellence is at the heart of everything she leads.

Paeancy “Yap” Sabangan

Producer

With over two decades of experience in television and digital media production, Paeancyd “Yap” Sabangan brings a proven blend of leadership, creativity, and execution to every project. Yap has produced internationally franchised shows such as Idol Philippines, Pinoy Big Brother, Got Talent, Family Feud, and Deal or No Deal while working at ABS-CBN, the largest TV network in the Philippines. In these roles, she led diverse teams and delivered compelling content with precision and efficiency.

Known for her strong negotiation and budget management skills, Yap consistently delivers high-impact projects while optimizing production costs. With technical proficiency in camera handling, lighting, sound, as well as editing software like AVID and Adobe Premiere Pro, Yap ensures seamless collaboration from production to post-production, maintaining the highest quality standards across all aspects of a project.

In Canada, Yap line produced Village Keeper, which earned 16 nominations at the Canadian Screen Awards and premiered at TIFF, later screening at other international festivals. Yap also produced Dosa, which won Best Film of the Festival at the Couch Film Festival in October 2024.

Internationally, Yap has worked with TBS-TV Japan, GMMTV Thailand, and MediaCorp in Singapore for a co-production that aired across Asia—gaining valuable cross-cultural production experience and insight.

Patrick Gutierrez

Production Manager & Coordinator

Patrick Gutierrez is a Toronto-based filmmaker and the Production Manager and Coordinator at FairyTale Films Entertainment. With a strong background in independent production, Patrick is instrumental in overseeing the studio’s scheduling, logistics, and day-to-day operations across all projects.

As a key figure in the production process, Patrick ensures smooth communication between departments, manages location and permit requirements, and coordinates crew, talent, and equipment. His ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently ensures that productions stay on track and on schedule.

In addition to his work with FairyTale Films, Patrick is actively producing his own independent projects and collaborating with other Filipino-Canadian filmmakers. His work is centered on stories that highlight the Filipino community and immigrant experiences in Canada.

Patrick is also an actor, having trained at AMP Studios Canada and participated in the Star Magic ABS-CBN workshops. His experience as an actor adds a unique perspective to his work behind the scenes, giving him a comprehensive understanding of both sides of production.

Patrick’s dual role as both a production manager and coordinator underscores his dedication to bringing culturally significant and diverse stories to life, while ensuring a seamless production process from start to finish.

Rhandy Torres

PR Support & International Actor

Rhandy Torres is a talented international actor based in Los Angeles, with a career spanning across Hollywood series, short films, and numerous other projects. His best-known work includes notable roles in The Cleaning Lady (as Tomas), Almighty Zeus (as Uncle Romeo), and The Wedding Hustler, where his performances resonated with audiences and critics alike. Additionally, his roles in Space Waves and The Master Chief: Part One have further solidified his versatility as an actor.

As PR Support at FairyTale Films Entertainment, Rhandy bridges the gap between the company’s creative initiatives and international audiences, leveraging his network and experience in the global entertainment industry to enhance the company’s visibility. In addition to his acting expertise, Rhandy plays a key role in PR by assisting with media relations, international outreach, and ensuring that FairyTale Films is well represented in global markets. His extensive acting career allows him to connect authentically with diverse communities, helping the company build a strong international presence. Rhandy’s acting reel showcases his range and versatility, from dramatic roles in TV series to compelling performances in independent films. His firsthand experience in navigating the entertainment industry makes him an invaluable asset to FairyTale Films, where he not only contributes to storytelling but also helps the studio expand its reach on the international stage.

Cheryl Nierves Sunio

Casting Director

Cheryl Nierves Sunio serves as Casting Director at FairyTale Films Entertainment, where she is responsible for overseeing the casting process for film, TV, and commercial projects. In her role, Cheryl collaborates with the producer, director and creative team to identify and select talent that aligns with the production’s vision. She organizes auditions, liaises with actors and agents, and ensures the best talent is chosen for each role.

Cheryl is also a Filipino-Canadian actor, having developed her skills at AMP Studios Canada and Star Magic ABS-CBN. She has appeared in the Filipino-Canadian TV series Halo Halo TV and stars in the upcoming feature Tingga, set to premiere in Canadian cinemas.

As an aspiring producer, Cheryl is building her expertise in the industry, with experience on the award-winning LGBTQ+ short film Don’t Text Your Ex, recognized at the Cannes Short Film Festival. She is also an active member of the Liaison of Independent Filmmakers of Toronto (LIFT) and its Screenwriters’ Circle.


Chalen Laserna

Technical Support

Chalen Laserna serves as Technical Support at FairyTale Films Entertainment, where his expertise lies in managing the integration of technology, sound, visuals, and digital assets into the production process. While he is not directly involved in technical operations, Chalen excels at coordinating with the creative team and external technical professionals to ensure all production requirements are met.

Chalen plays a vital role in troubleshooting technical challenges, sourcing the necessary resources, and ensuring smooth communication between the production team and vendors. He ensures that each project stays on track, meeting deadlines and staying within budget, by securing the right technical support when needed.

His ability to oversee and facilitate the logistical side of production, while ensuring that technical needs are properly addressed, makes him an invaluable member of the team, ensuring timely and high-quality project delivery.
